UPDATE: I no longer serve couples if one/both members of the couple has/have a mental health diagnosis or condition. Insurance reimbursement rates are much lower for couples counseling than for individual counseling. All couples counseling is cash only $150 and offered only to couples where neither member has any has a mental health diagnosis or condition. In such cases, a waiver of insurance benefits due to lack of medical necessity is required.

Couples counseling using the Gottman Method is based on extensive research and practical tools to improve relationships. It helps couples build healthier partnerships by focusing on communication, emotional connection, and conflict resolution.

ABOUT ME

Kelly Olsen, LCSW

I’m grateful to have joined the Fairview Clinic of Dickson Medical Associates.

I hold a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston College and spent the first part of my career in research and consulting.  

In 2007, I took a position at a community mental health center and discovered how much I love being a psychotherapist. It’s the hardest, yet most rewarding, work I’ve ever done. I’m grateful every day to my past psychotherapists who encouraged me to pivot my career and especially to the clients who entrust me with their care. 

I live outside Nashville with my husband of over 25 years and enjoy hiking, swimming, comedy shows, dancing like no one’s watching, and spending time with my family. We have two adult children and two rescue dogs.
